Contact Information: File upload issue

Hi Folks,
I am running the OSTicket version 1.9.14 on my server - with PHP5.5 and MySQL5.7.9.
And, I am facing couple of issues.

I
customized the Contact Information and added two fields for file
upload.  The registration goes through but the file uploads are not
visible when I view the user from a SCP panel. When I edit the user, and
upload the files, then the files are visible - basically it is not
uploading the files chosen by the user but accepting those by the admin.
I saw the SQL query, and it looks like this:
INSERT INTO ost_form_entry_values SET `field_id` = 41, `entry_id` = 35, `value` = '[]'
The value for the file is going blank. But the same thing is possible when  staff edits the same user
However, even if the user edits the files by uploading them it shows the file: the issue is only while creating a new record for a user.
PHP logs show no error

Another
issue, that I am facing is, these file upload fields are coming  up
while creating a new ticket (as a guest user). I tried going to Admin
Panel->Manage->Forms->Ticket but the check box to delete is
grayed out. These fields are currently, "Required for End user" but i
have tried using "optional too - with the same result.

Also, I
need to send an email to the registered email Id ONLY for verification
purposes, I want the admin to verify the documents that the user has
uploaded (issue no 1) and then approve the user, only then the user can
login. Is this possible ?
If yes, then where would I Have to change
the login check module.. Do I have to make a custom form for the
admins/staff to verify the new users ?

Please let me know if I can ask these many questions in a single post, else will re-post them.

Auto populate user id with staff

Hi All,

I was looking for some pointers, I've removed the popup when creating a new ticket and would like it to auto-populate the user fields based on the agents email and name as in our system they are the ones raising the tickets. 

Can anyone point me the right direction of how to do this.

ost_file_chunk table management

Hello community,
I'm running osTicket 1.9.12 on xampp infrastructure on Win 2008 Server, and as in the title, I need to face the problem of manage the ost_file_chunk table.
Saving attachment on db is a requirement and 90% of the backup space (around 5GB after 2 months) is made by file chunks in the table.
So, I thought that having a routine that periodically (e.g. once per month) deletes attachments that refers to tickets that have been closed more than a month ago, would solve somehow the problem of having a huge ost_file_chunk table. In this way I would keep ticket threads also for older tickets loosing just the attachments.
So the question now is: what I'm missing in the big picture? which would be the pros and cons of such a strategy? Any other ideas?

Add 'Assigned To' colum to Open Tickets V1.10rc3

It has been a while since I've been tasked with setting up OSTicket.  Last version I installed was RC2, and I seem to have misplaced my notes.  On that version, I managed to get the 'Assigned To' column in the tickets.php page.

I've looked, likely in the wrong places, without any luck on how I did this, or how to do so in RC3.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!

it.phar problems

Hallo, 
I uploaded the ITA translation as .phar file. It works fine but I need to make some modifications to some words to best fit my needs. 
I attempted to make my mod using wordpad but it doesn't work anymore and OSticket switches to the standard language (en).

Please any advice to solve this problem. Any helpful solution?

Display Currently Open Tickets In A PHP Table

Hi,

We use osTicket at my college and I've been working on a PHP app to display currently open tickets alongside when they were opened and who they are assigned to on a monitor in the IT room so we can see at a glance who has what to do.

Unfortunately, my SQL isn't good enough to build a query that works reliably. I've had it working but every time I do something stops working. For example, I can pull all open tickets but unassigned tickets now don't get added to the list. 


Although it doesn't look to me that the SQL database works the same way in the newer versions. The forum post here: http://osticket.com/forum/discussion/9248/show-open-tickets-to-public/p1 seems to suggest that this was a planned feature in 2013, has it been implemented and I'm just missing it?

Dashboard service time 0.0

i have created 2 tickets and responded and closed those tickets in more than 24 hours. I look at the dashboard the service time and response time are at 0.0 
The ajax.reports is modified that it shows the time in hours by multiplying the average times 24 it was working before but not after a fresh reinstallation

any help thank you in advance

Allow users to set Due Date on Ticket Creation

Hello,

  I'm sure this has been discussed in the past, but I can't seem to find much on it that is applicable to my version. In 1.9.12 how do I set it up so that a person creating a new ticket can set the due date for the ticket. So they would have the ability to say "I want this done by this date."

I see you can set a due date in the Staff Panel under edit ticket, but I would like to give that ability to the end user at the ticket submission time.

Divide Colums in exported CSV file

Hello all.

I want to change exported CSV file. Is it possible to download Excel file or PDF? My boss required from me to press EXPORT button from Dashboard and see normal table without comma( with divided columns). I am already have tried to change "ajax.reports.php", "class.auth.php", "class.search.php" files in "Include" folder from "A1" to another columns, but it was waste of time.

P.S. 2 attached files describe what I need. Please help if anyone knows the way.

Multiple AD domains

Hello,

Is there any way to add multiple defaut domains ? 

Example :

I have "europe.company.com" as the default  AD domain, how can I also add : "asia.company.com" ?

Multi Domain LDAP plugin for osTicket v1.10-RC.2

So after many hours of had work I made a ldap plugin with support for multiple separate domains.

It even combines the searches as one search..

As you can see by the configuration plugin page each parameter is separated be a space or a "," or ";" the plugin loops through all LDAP domains until it it finds the user be name and authenticates the password.

The only minor bug is that if a user has the same login/username on both domains they can login ONLY as one user. I will get a workaround but this issue should be kinda rare.
I might have to force logins with emails or something..
If you are interested in testing it let me know.

Reporting on task close date

When I run reports on closed tasks it is only giving me option to run by create date not close date. Any ideas how I can run a report for tasks closed for a specific date range?

Good morning,
to identify with a clear way a device I thought it's good to use color in the forms. The scenario is, I have several printers and as the user don't know the name of them to report an issue the can simply check the color.
There is any way to add a colored squared box inside a cell near?

[MOD] Inline PDF

So, I've finally upgraded, and wanted to restore my previews mod, but didn't want to have to generate preview images again.. that was horrible and sometimes didn't work. 

This time, I've spent a few hours figuring out the plugin interfaces.. and generally failing to figure them out. :-(

Got it to work anyway.

Basically, it takes PDF's or Images and embeds them in the thread entries responsible for uploading them. Without modifying core! :D My best mod yet. The PDF is fully scrollable/rotatable/printable etc, the links are preserved should you need to download them. Images are linked to the full image and are not rotated etc, the PDF rendering is fully standard browser dependant etc..  Tested with Firefox/Chrome/IE11, not successful on IE11.. can't figure out why, as browser is broken. Added a message about the browser sucking and providing the normal link.. This also happens in Opera if you don't have a PDF plugin.

It's pretty simple, the bulk of the work is done in javascript, which get's injected into the footer. Tested and works on 1.8-git. SHOULD work on future versions, depending on how the files are attached.. haven't tested on anything else though, let me know! This means it gracefully falls back to complete stock by disabling javascript, and the plugin is self-contained, so ZERO MODS to core are required. You simply clone the repo or download the zip from github and extract into /includes/plugins/ which should make a folder: "pdf_preview", but it could be called anything. 

Current features:
  • PDF Files attached to a thread entry (note/message/reply etc) are embedded as full PDF objects in the entry.
  • Images attached to a thread entry are inserted as normal <img> tags.
  • png
  • jpg
  • gif
  • svg
  • bmp
Text files attached to a thread entry are fetched via AJAX and inserted into the thread entry using <pre> (If enabled). HTML files are also fetched via AJAX and inserted (If enabled). Detects pjax and falls back to stock jQuery if not found.
Message me if you want more features, I'm thinking of adding a "Tick the box extension selection" or something to pick what to display.

TODO:
  • Extrude CSS into file
  • Add admin options for file-types
  • Maybe modify the output in PHP rather than JS.. haven't decided, see what people say. This is working for now.

Time + X Variable to define SLA in auto ticket response by user

Hi All,
I am using OST to receive and manage manufacturing orders. I receive orders from across the country (Australia) and would like to be able to configure a variable for each client (user) email so when they send me an email, OST adds a certain number of days (variable by user) to todays date and includes that in the auto response.

Is this possible with the variables function? Can you do operations with variables? Like todays date + X_days?
